Network Marketing Tips: 3 Questions to Help You Get to Your Compelling Why

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed. Thanks for visiting!

This is the first of several network marketing tips I’ve been inspired to write after a call I listened to this morning.  In my 5 years as a network marketer and my journey to discover how to combine the internet and network marketing, I have listened to thousands of calls, read hundreds of books, many of them on money mindset.

“When the student is ready, the teacher will appear.”
~Buddhist Proverb

The call I listened to was called “Fire Up Your Finances” and was presented by Helen Kim & Kim DeYoung and it had me thinking all day about my money fears, feelings, and philosophies…both the good ones and the ones that I need to change.  I took away several things that will help network marketers and business owners shift their mindsets and break through barriers in their business, so let’s start at the beginning and get to the core reason you became a network marketer.

We’ve all been taught that our “why,” which is the reason we are building our network marketing business, needs to be strong enough to help us stay focused on doing what we need to do when we’re not feeling like it, when things are not going well, when we’re discouraged, or there are other things we’d rather be doing, etc.

I know for myself, and I’ve seen it in a lot of other business builders I’ve worked with, getting to our why can be challenging.  Some people just know it, but for me, it’s been something that was always a little blurry.  I’ve always known that my why revolved around being able to spend time with my kids, allow my husband to not have to work so hard so it can give him more time with our kids, and being able to have choices in what-when-how we decide to spend our lives.  I also wanted to do something that had meaning and could help others.

I’ve learned that our “why” is never about money.  On the surface, it can be about money and what money can do for us.  Money will allow us to quit a frustrating job, go to sleep at night and not worry about bills, choose how and with whom we want to spend our time, etc.

At a deeper level, our “why” is an internal desire or need that is in alignment with our core values.  For most people I’ve met, their why is centered somewhere around the people that are important to them in their lives and when boiled down results in a feeling of some kind–what feeling they will have when they are able to provide security, safety, freedom, acceptance, choices, and/or time to their loved ones and themselves.

I find it helpful to separate the “money” things into a GOALS category and the “feeling” things into a WHY category, but for me it hasn’t been enough to keep me from sometimes feeling disconnected from my “why”.network marketing business worry

Helen Kim shared on the call 3 questions we can ask ourselves to get to what we really want.

  1. Money is no object: How are you living your life? Who do you want to be? Who do you want to be with? What do you want to do?
  2. The bad news; you are not going to be alive 5 years from now.  The good news; you will not feel any pain: How are you living your life?  Who do you want to be?  Who do you want to be with? What do you want to do?
  3. Today is your LAST day: Who did you not get to be?  Who did you not get to be with?  What did you not get to do?

This was powerful for me and reminded me of an exercise I went through at a Klemmer & Associates Personal Mastery Training I attended several years ago. It was called First Day/Last Day and it involved exploring how you felt on the first day of an experience.

“Every day man crucifies himself between two thieves—
the regret of yesterday and the fear of tomorrow.”
~Benjamin Disraeli

The result of answering these questions will certainly help you discover your compelling why.  For me, boiled down, I want to live with the feeling that I am living my life without regrets and without fear.  That is my “why.”

Yes, sometimes we do what we “gotta” to do what we “wanna.”  The reason I’m building my network marketing business and specifically the reason I’ve decided to build my network marketing business on the internet is so that I can know that every action I take will get me closer to my “why” of being able to live my life without regrets and fear.

0007 The efforts I make in building my business bring me closer to knowing that I can retire my husband and give him more time with our kids.  Every activity that leads to obtaining a goal adds more choices to what what my family can do and who we do it with.

Building my network marketing business helps me to help others and brings meaning to my day.  And most of all, because I can do it from home, I get to be with my kids right now so that I don’t have to regret missing out on those first step milestones, or the giggles I hear from the other room, as I end this post.

Please trust me when I say that going through the activities Helen Kim and Kim DeYoung shared this morning and getting to my own compelling why has motivated me so much more than I realized it could, and I know it can do the same for you.

Don’t just read this post! How many things do we listen to, or read and think, wow that was helpful information, or I learned something from that, but because we don’t do something with them, the moment passes and no progress is made?

I beg you to take action and ask yourself the questions above. Journal them, talk them out, have discussions around them with your spouse, teammates, prospects.

You deserve it!

Your family deserves it!

Your team deserves it!

Your prospects deserve it!

If this had meaning for you, please pass it on to a friend, share it with your team, tweet it, or share your comments below.

Live your life with purpose!

Love,

If you’re interested in listening to the “Fire Up Your Finances” call it’s part of the Metro Mom Get It Done Circle.  I’ve been a member of the Metro Mom Get It Done Power Circle for over 6 months now and I have received more benefits and made more progress in the internet part of my business than I ever expected. I know it was because of the support I received from Kim DeYoung and through my Get it Done membership that I finally broke through my fears & insecurity of the internet and building my network marketing business online.

What Legacy Will You Leave with Your Network Marketing Internet Business?

It’s easy for me to get wrapped up in the details and activities required to build my network marketing internet business, so sometimes I need a reminder to step back and reflect on my core purpose for building my business.  I received one of those reminders today…

One of the most powerful things in building a network marketing business is the difference our business can make in the lives of others.  I love to work with women in my business.  It’s a gift and a struggle because women are intuitive and can read someone’s intentions from a mile away.

I could choose to feel like I’m imposing on someone by sharing my company’s products and opportunity. I could come from a place of scarcity, that I need people to join my business and purchase my products in order to reach my goals.  But, with that kind of thinking I’m certain to struggle and turn people off when I talk to them.

However, when I choose to focus on showing others that I value them, that I believe in them, that I’m grateful for them, everything changes.  When we help make a difference in the life of a woman by helping her be successful in her network marketing business (whether she builds it online or off line) or helping her to feel and look her best, we create a positive impact on her self esteem, her mood, the attitude in her home, how that affects her children, her home, her community, and ultimately the world.

I’d love to share a special video with you below that will help you shift your mindset to creating a legacy with your network marketing business. It doesn’t matter what you give; your time, your money, your love, your friendship, or your talents & knowledge.  The act of giving will make an enormous impact on your business and life.

A couple of the marketers I’ve mentored under in the last few months, Carrie Wilkerson, The Barefoot Executive and Metro Mom, Kim DeYoung, have both introduced me to Paul Evans from Nicheology.   I’m not sure which one of them introduced me to Paul Evans first, but I’m so thankful that they did.  (Carrie & Kim are both women of “service” and if you’re interested in learning internet marketing they are women you should follow.  I’ve linked their twitter id’s and Paul’s twitter id for you above.)

You see, Paul just celebrated his company’s 6 year anniversary and as part of the celebration he released several videos to help internet marketers make money online using Private Label Products. Unfortunately, as I was enjoying having company last week I missed the deadline for his 24 hour challenge, but I decided to check out his videos anyway.

I’m so glad that I took the time. Paul really shared some incredible information, but the last video in the series made the biggest impact on me. In it he talks about creating a legacy and changing someone’s life forever through your business. It was powerful and I encourage you to watch it below.

Please pay special attention to the 2 questions he asks us to ask. I’ll be setting time aside this weekend to focus on these questions for myself and my own business.  I’ll share them with you in a future post and if you’d like to share your answers to these questions, please post them in the comments below.

Above all, I’d like you to remember that whether you’re building your network marketing business off line or building a network marketing internet business, you have the chance to change the life of every person you talk to, and every person they know.  The legacy you have the potential to create with your business is huge.  Let the impact you can make on the lives of others be the power that pushes you to the next level!

Enjoy the video below!

Positive Self Talk Can Help You Achieve Your Goals

In the network marketing industry, most consultants are cautioned by their sponsors that a dream stealer can quickly extinguish the spark of belief in new and experienced marketers.  Ten positive people can be brought down by one pessimist easier than one negative person can be cheered up by ten positive people.  That’s why it’s so important to surround yourself with positive, encouraging people who are on the same journey you are on.  It will help you to stay positive and by surrounding yourself with success which will help you reach your goal.

But have you stopped to think about the dream stealer inside of you?  Do you frequently talk yourself out of goals you’ve set?  Do you talk yourself out of success when things are going well?  Do you have thoughts that you don’t have what it takes to reach your goal, or that you’ll never make it?

We’ve all experienced these thoughts at some point in our lives, but in order to achieve success, we need quiet that “Negative Nellie” and shift our thoughts to positive self talk.

What is self talk?  I like to think of it as that little voice inside your head, talking to you all the time.  It can tell you good things, or bad things.  It can keep you where you are or help you achieve your dreams.

I became aware of self talk about 4 years ago when I read a book by Dr. Shad Helmstetter called “The Gift.”  (It’s a powerful book if you have not read it, I suggest you do.)  In the book. Dr. Helmstetter talks about the gift of changing your self talk.  He says that we can reprogram our minds through self talk, and by changing our programs, we can change our lives.

It’s hard to reach any goal if we’re talking ourselves out of success…and most of the time we don’t even realize or notice the negative self talk when we’re doing it!  We end up feeling like there is something wrong with us because we see others in our network marketing companies reaching their goals, while we are left frustrated and feeling stuck.

There have been times in my business where I refused to set goals.  I was so discouraged by month after month of not reaching them, that I decided I wouldn’t even set them.  I just kept plugging along doing the business, but the passion and excitement was not there for me because my negative self talk had taken up residence in my mind.

Have you ever felt this way?

If you’re at this point in your business, or cruising dangerously close to it, positive self talk can absolutely help you reprogram your mind and get you back on track with your goals.

There is a distinct difference in how much better I feel when I’m, meditating, and listening to positive affirmations, and there is an absolute difference in how much I’m achieving in my business; concrete, measurable results.

Changing your self talk can help you achieve the goals you set. It’s easy to do and takes minutes a day.

You may not be aware of the severity of the negative dialogue currently within your mind. However, once you begin with positive self-talk, you will suddenly realize that you are self-sabotaging the goals you set for yourself from the minute that you make them. This process can open your eyes to exactly how much this inner conversation has been interfering with your life. You’ll feel hopeful that you can now set goals and surpass them.

Using Self Talk to Re-Program Your Mind

1. Write down some positive affirmations (or positive statements) that are related to your goal.

2. Read them frequently throughout your day, especially when you notice negative thoughts coming in as you work toward your goals.  What this does is replaces the negative self limiting thoughts with positive thoughts that will help you reach your goal.  It also helps you to become aware of how frequently you sabotage your efforts,

3. Increase the efficacy by entering a relaxed state as you read your affirmations

Tips to fit Positive Self Talk into your busy schedule:

- Listen to positive self talk affirmations on a mp3 player at night as you drift to sleep or as you’re going about your day

- Program positive affirmations into the screen saver on your computer

- Create a video with positive affirmations and photos of your goals/dreams and watch it a couple of times a day

Through positive self-talk you will be able easily set long and short-term goals for yourself. And when you use affirmations, you’ll have accessible tools to help you push yourself further than ever before. Learning to quiet negativity with positive thoughts is a great move toward setting and attaining future goals with ease.

I have a gift for you today!  Download a personal reflection exercise, “I am passionate about my goals.“  Please enjoy it and if you know someone else who would enjoy it also, please forward them this blog post so they can download it too.

AM & PM Routine for Facing Your Fears

Lions, Tigers, & Bears are Lurking Outside Your Comfort Zone

One of my favorite things every day is the arrival of my Notes from the Universe.  (This is an affiliate link but the notes from the universe are free!) I seek them out, weeding through a jungle of emails every morning.  They are free, fun, inspirational, and always help me start my day with a smile.  This message was in my email in-box this morning and I loved it so much I wanted to post it here so you can enjoy it too. (And so I don’t lose it! LOL)

“Have you noticed, Heather, how moving towards a great dream summons from life’s jungles the fiercest lions, the scariest tigers, and the grizzliest bears… who eventually turn out to be the noblest teachers, the bravest guides, and the dearest friends?”

You’re on your way,
The Universe

Run Toward The RoarIt reminded me of something a friend and business partner told me a couple of years ago.  It was a story about how lions hunted as a pack.

The old lions who are not as strong, or as fast, and who don’t have teeth stand on one side of a herd of animals they are hunting.  The younger stronger, faster lions with sharp strong teeth hide in the weeds on the other side of the herd.  The old lions let out their loudest, fiercest roar which scares the herd and sends them running away from the roar, right into the trap set by the younger lions.

Run Toward the Roar!

The moral of the story is to run toward the roar.  Running away from things that you’re afraid of can lead you to place that is much scarier.

Aside from parenting building a business has been the most challenging thing I’ve every done, but it is also one of the most rewarding things I’ve ever done. Every time I’ve pushed toward a new goal, reached for a new dream, and tried to do something new, the roar inside of me gets louder and louder.  My instincts tell me to run away from the roar.  The unsettled feeling in my tummy–the voices inside my head telling me “You can’t do this,” “You’re not good enough,” “You’re going to fail.”– the “emergencies” that appear in my schedule that must be tackled first all try to keep me from moving forward.

I’m finding more often than not, recently I’ve been able to push them aside and keep running toward the roar.    I hadn’t stopped to think about why until my Tut message this morning helped me to connect the dots.

My AM & PM Journal Routine

I have a morning and bedtime journal routine that I’ve been doing for a couple of months that is really helping me.

I have a notebook that I keep next to the bed. It’s not fancy, it’s just a black & white composition notebook.

In the evening after I crawl into bed, I write on the left side (back of the first page) about my dreams and goals.  I write about what achieving them is going to do for my life.  How is it going to positively impact the lives of my kids, husband and others?  I think about who else will benefit by my reaching my goal? Will the kid’s of the people I’m helping benefit by having more time with their parents?  How will that affect them as they grow up?  Will someone’s marriage be better because money worries are no longer an issue for them?  I write for the entire page and when I reach the end, I go to bed.

Then when I wake up in the morning I write down the opposite on the right hand side of the notebook (so the pages face each other).  I usually start off writing about the struggles our family would be having right now,  if I had not decided to start my business, and where we’ll be if I don’t continue to build it and grow.  Thinking about the 3 beautiful little faces, still warm and cozy in their beds down the hall, is the motivation I need.  What is going to happen to them if I don’t reach my goal, if I don’t make the changes to mindset, overcome the fear and reach for the goal?  Who else will suffer if I don’t do the activities today that will bring me closer to my goal?

Again, I write for a page on this and when I get to the bottom of the page, I read my positive journal entry from the night before, and start my day.  It only takes a few minutes twice a day, but it’s been so powerful for me.  It helps me keep my mind set on my goals, and helps me remember to to run toward the roar.

There are times those things get the best of me, I’m human after all, but I’ve discovered that the greatest gifts have been waiting for me on the other side of my fear.  Time with my family, friends, increased confidence, self belief, financial security…the list of gifts I’ve received because I’ve decided to face my fears at various points in my journey could go on forever.

…and then there are the gifts I write about each night before bed; the gifts I’m going to receive and be able to give to others by remembering to run toward the roar.

I recommend you commit to this journal routine for at least 30 or more days.  I hit a turning point toward the end of my first month where I really started to notice a shift in my outlook, confidence, and productivity. I hope it helps you too!

Thank you so much for your time reading this.  Please share your strategy for getting over the fear and continuing on your path to your goal in the comments below and please share this post with someone else who will benefit from it!

What Would You Do if You Knew You Could Not Fail?

The question, “What would you do if you knew you could not fail?” causes us to stop…and think…and wonder…and dream. It can also bring up feelings of fear because of the power it holds and reminds me of this quote by Marianne Willamson:

“Our deepest fear is not that we are inadequate. Our deepest fear is that we are powerful beyond measure. It is our light, not our darkness, that most frightens us. We ask ourselves, who am I to be brilliant, gorgeous, talented and fabulous? Actually, who are you not to be? You are a child of God. Your playing small doesn’t serve the world. We were born to make manifest the glory of God that is within us. It’s not just in some of us; it’s in everyone. And as we let our own light shine, we unconsciously give other people permission to do the same. As we are liberated from our own fear, our presence automatically liberates others.” ~Marianne Williamson in Return to Love

I believe that greatness is within each one of us, and even when fear is clouding our ability to see our greatness, the greatness is there.  I know I need to remind myself to play a bigger game, to push my comfort zone, and to trust that I’m in the right place at the right time.

Fear has it’s purpose to protect us and keep us safe, but it also wants to keep us right where we are. We need to recognize that fear is there, thank it for trying to protect us and push our comfort zone anyway.

What would YOU do if you knew you could not fail? What risks would you take, whose life would you change, what difference would you make in the world, what kind of legacy would you leave?

I discovered this video in a tweet by Gina Bell  @ginabell for the International Association of Women in Business Online, IAWBO and felt very moved by it. I hope you enjoy it too.

Please comment below and share what you would do if you knew you could not fail.

Social Media Etiquette: If I Wouldn’t Tell My Grandma, I’m Not Going to Tell You!

Social Media etiquette has a lot of gray area.  It’s not just right & wrong, and depending on your audience, you might be able to get away with things that others couldn’t.  So, how do you know what you should or shouldn’t share on social media?

As marketers we want to connect with our audience, share our human side, and share the things that make us, “who we are” so our friends online can say…hey, she’s just like me.  It increases trust, and helps to develop relationships with people, which increases the value we can bring to our audience.

Sharing stories about our kids, our struggles, our challenges, goals, dreams, etc. are all the mortar that binds us together as humans on this journey to obtain our own versions of a “successful life.”  And it’s important to do so because people “buy” us before they buy our products or opportunity.

But what’s OK to share and what isn’t?  As a network marketer you already know the power of word of mouth marketing.  But do you stop and think about what you’re sharing online?  Would you want your message to be shared with 4 people who share it with 4 people = 16 people who each share it with 4 people = 64 people, who each share it with 4 people = 256 people, etc.?  And in social media those numbers are in the thousands with your very first tweet.

Grandma at the Cabin

I’ve followed the unwritten rule, online and in person, that if I wouldn’t tell my grandma, I shouldn’t share it.  Although I don’t know that this rule would apply to everyone and their grandma.

My grandma is a hard-working (she’s still stringing tennis rackets at 87 because she likes it, not because she needs to) wife of a tree farmer, who raised 3 rowdy boys. But she’s a “lady” and I’m always sensitive about the things I share with her, out of respect. (Even though I know she’d love me always.) She knows my feelings about things, but not my negativity. I’ve shared with her my weaknesses, challenges, and fears, but not by whining. She knows my goals, my hopes, and my accomplishments, but I’m careful to not come from a boastful place with her.

You’ll never hear her “gossip” about anyone or anything.  She doesn’t tolerate people being hurtful or caddy.

My dad’s mentioned to me hundreds of times, a quote/philosophy passed onto him from my grandma’s mom, “Make people glad that they know you,” and that’s exactly how my grandma has lived her life.  The philosophy has served me well for the first of my 36 years, and I think it would work, both online & off for anyone.

Elizabeth Potts Weinstein also wrote a great blog post on this topic if you’d like to read more.

What boundaries have you set with your online marketing, blog posts, social media, etc?  Please share them in the comments below.

And if you enjoyed this post, I would be grateful if you shared it with others in your network who might enjoy it too! :)

One Minute Mindset & Motivation for Network Marketers: #1 Kaizen

Welcome to a series of short posts that were inspired by quotes on mindset and motivation to help network marketers master the inner game of success.

“Unless you try to do something beyond what you have already mastered, you will never grow.”  Ralph Waldo Emerson

The Japanese call this kaizen, which means continuous improvement.

Do you look for ways to perform every activity a little bit better the next time?  No one starts off effective in network marketing, but becoming an effective network marketer will happen when you evaluate every conversation and every presentation you make to discover what worked and figure out what you’re going to do next time to make it a little bit better.

Seek excellence in your network marketing business by always doing your best and look for ways you can improve.  Your team will follow your lead when you commit to consistent learning, consistent activity, consistent effort.  There’s always room for improvement, and great network marketers look for it in everything they do!

Network Marketing: Playing to Win in 3 Easy Steps

I like to think of network marketing like a game.  There are rules to follow, obstacles to overcome, strategy to perfect, and it’s a ton of fun to play!  But like any game, you have the choice of how you want to play it.  You can take risks, play full-out, and play to win…or you can play the network marketing game not to lose.

Mastering the fundamentals of the game…

Woman Reading BookA big part of winning in network marketing is obtaining the right mindset through personal development.  Every leader I’ve spoken with, trained under, or read about talks about the importance of continuously learning, reading for 1/2 hr a day, listening to personal development audios while in the car, and attending seminars and company training events.

I received an email from a brand new friend today who is building a network marketing business and seems very dedicated to her personal development. She was sharing some of the books she’s been reading and she made a comment that, “every day I feel I’m a little closer to the clarity I need to really start making some serious money.”

I wonder if we ever get to the point of feeling like we have enough clarity in our business?

I’ve spent thousands and thousands and more thousands of dollars over the last 5 years on training seminars, books, audios, home study programs, etc. and I’ve studied under many different marketers both in the network marketing industry, and the internet marketing industry in my quest to master the game. I know for a fact that the more I’ve learned the more I’ve earned, but I don’t think I’ve ever had complete clarity.Butterfly

My network marketing business has been just like any game I’ve played…when I feel like I’ve got the game mastered, something happens and my perception changes and I discover another area of my mindset that needs work.  And for me, personal development has not always come from a book, audio, video, or seminar.  I believe that they’ve helped to give me the optimistic outlook I currently have, they’ve pointed out opportunities for growth within myself, and help me to learn new concepts, but the largest strides in personal growth that I can recognize are the ones I’ve made through activities I’ve done with butterflies in my stomach.

Play to win by taking another step…

Game Steps 1, 2, and 3Continuous learning is important, but it’s not going to move us one single space on the game board.  It’s in taking action in our network marketing business that we gain clarity.

And even though I’ve never had complete clarity I know I’ve always had enough clarity to take another step forward in my business.  Steps 2 and 3 may still be out of focus, but the magical thing is that by taking action and move a space on the business game board, step 2 really becomes step 1 and step 3 comes a little more into focus.

Learning the rules, having a positive mindset, and learning how to apply some strategy to the game, will help us to overcome the obstacles!  But regardless of how much we know, if we don’t venture off of home base we’re playing the game, not to lose…and that’s a game we can never win.  The only way to lose the network marketing game is to quit, but the only way to really win it, is to play full out!

The object of the game of network marketing is to be the one who helps the most people win.

We get paid for helping the people we share the network marketing opportunity with, successfully build their businesses and for providing the best service possible to the people who need our products.  The only way we can win this game is by helping other people win the game.

Steps 1, 2 and 3 will always be: W.I.N.S.

1. Who: Who needs your help? Focus on them.

2. Identify Need: Discover what their biggest challenge or problem is.

3. Solution: Provide them with possible solutions to their problem or challenge.

It’s only after helping people solve their problems that we’re allowed to  “pass go and collect another $200″!

Please comment below and share a step you’ve recently taken in your business with “butterflies in your stomach” and what you learned from that experience.

Network Marketing: Finding Freedom in Many Areas in Addition to Financial Freedom

It is easy to take for granted the freedoms that a network business can give, outside of the financial freedom that so many people are seeking.  But, once in a while something happens that brings it to the top of my mind, and helps me to remember what a gift we have been given with this industry.

Last week I received a request for information about my network marketing opportunity on one of my websites.  Because the kids were off of school, enjoying spring break, and I was taking some time off of my regular work to enjoy them and get some other projects done, the email got burried.  By the time I called the person back yesterday they had already signed up in my same company with someone else.

How would you feel to realize that because you were not 100% on top of things, someone had signed up in your same network marketing company with someone else?

At first I felt the flutter of dissapointment to know that I had been given a chance to have this person join my orginazation, but then I was blessed with a conscious awareness of why I didn’t sign this person into my company.  I was with my family!

If I had been there to answer that email sooner.  I would have probably had a new business builder on my team, but that’s not what network marketing is about.  Sitting by my computer waiting for every email and lead to pop in, would be no different than having a job working for someone else!

Network Marketing is about finding freedom in how and when we earn our money, where and when we decide to work.

One of the things that I had been searching for, over a long period of time, was the chance to have a business that allowed me to earn as much income as I was willing to work for, as well as give me the ability to plan my family time first, and my work time second.  I’ve found it, and the awareness that I was doing just that when this man was requesting information about my opportunity gave me the best feeling!

What I was doing at that time, was spending time with my husband and kids laughing about the horrible dinner I had fixed.  (On a side note: I’m known for my cooking disasters all the way back to high-school when I caught the home-ec oven of fire.) We were all laughing that maybe I should make the same thing again for company that we will be hosting at the end of the month.  ( We’re entertaining my husband’s uncle and aunt who is known for being a gourmet cook and fixes the most delicious elaborate meals when we visit.  Their son is also a professionally trained chef runing a major resort in Ohio.) We decided that I should definately put it on the menu, but time it so that an order of thai food from our favorite restaurant would arrive at the minute they took their first bite!

What other freedoms can network marketing give you?

Another area of freedom Network Marketing has given me is friendship.  I’m friends with people all over the world. One of my best friends lives in Montana and we’ve never met face to face!  I am in Illinois and although we’re separated by miles and miles, our Network Marketing businesses give us a reason to talk a couple of times a week and the friendship we’ve developed will be one that brings us both a lot of fun, support, encouragement and laughter.

With a network marketing business, we’re also given the freedom to build the business in a way that fits us.  I can build my business with by sharing the opportunity and the products through sample packs, prospecting packs, one-on-one appointments, group meetings, educational seminars, websites, phone calls, teleseminars, conference calls, live and prerecorded webinars, social media, networking groups, conventions, trade shows, referrals, businesses, joint ventures, videos, direct mail, e-mail, and any other way that best fits my life.

Network marketing provides a tremendous freedom of being able to build a business from anywhere in the world.  With the internet and a cellphone you can truly build a successful business from anywhere.  Although I do have some local teammates, the majority of my teammates are a minimum of  a couple of hours away, and the majority of them I didn’t know before I joined the business!  My sponsor was thousands of miles away, but she was still able to coach me and help me acquire the skills I needed to be successful.

In a network markeitng business I can create freedom from worring where my next paycheck is coming from.  To explain more, I can build a sustainiable business that runs without me by creating multiple streams of residual income (income that comes in every month even when I’m not working) by representing a company with awesome products that people reorder every month, even when I’m on vacation in the North Woods of Wisconsin!

All in all, my innitial dissapointing news that someone who I could have had on my team joined someone else’s team was a great reminder to me about all the freedoms this business has given me.  I ended up sending this man information about an event local to him, as well as an inspiring video that will hopefully help he, and his wife get a great start to their business. I edified his new upline and offered support to him if he ever needed it…and moments after I had clicked “send” in outlook, another request for information came into my inbox.  This truly is a business where the more you help solve other people’s problems and help them reach their goals and dreams, the more you are rewarded.  It doesn’t matter if it’s not your own downline that you’re helping.

If you question this, I encourage you to check the book, The Go Giver, by Bob Burg & John David Mann out of the library or pick it up on amazon!

Please comment below and share the freedoms that Network Marketing has given you, and or the freedoms that you hope to gain through building your network marketing business.
